Tom Hurd has been promoted to executive vice president of InMotion.

He is responsible for store operations, construction, purchasing, loss prevention and customer service.

He joined Altitunes in June 1999, having more than 20 years of experience in the retail industry. He relocated to Jacksonville, Fla., when InMotion and Altitunes merged. Before joining the company, he was regional manager for Perfumania, responsible for more than $70M in revenue. He came to Perfumania from Shoe-Town Inc. and Fayva Shoes, where he held senior managing position.

Hurd earned his B.S. degree at Nassau Community College.
